I have been a successful full time REALTOR® since 1988 who specializes in knowledge of the southern Peninsula and western Santa Clara County areas.  I have been working at Coldwell Banker Los Altos (formerly Cornish & Carey) since 1992.  One of the top 5 agents in a office of 100+ agents 2006 thru 2012.

Honors

As one of the area's top producers, I have received the Achievement Award from the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® twelve times (this award was discontinued by the local board in 2009 and will no longer be awarded).  I have also received the Diamond Achievement Award (10 consecutive years of Achievement Award Honors) and the Lifetime Achievement Award (5 years of Achievement Award Honors) from the Silicon Valley Association of Realtors.  Premier Designations including:   SRES (Seniors Real Estate Specialists) By earning the SRES^® Designation, I have demonstrated the necessary knowledge and expertise to counsel clients age 50+ through major financial and lifestyle transitions in relocating, refinancing, or selling the family home.   CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation which means I have undergone a rigorous, specialized course of detailed training aimed at making residential transactions as smooth and worry-free as possible.  Only 3 percent of all REALTORS® have earned this prestigious designation.   GRI designation, signifying that I am a member of the Graduate REALTORS® Institute.   ePro designation for my extensive knowledge in internet communications & marketing.  SFR designation for Short Sales & Foreclosure Resource.

Personal Information

I have been a resident of Mountain View since 1976, having moved here from Michigan.  I have been very involved in the figure skating community over the years as a local organizer of figure skating events.  In 1996 I served on the Executive Board for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in San Jose.  I served as Director of Operations for this massive event and was responsible for security, communications and transportation.  I also served as a Committee Chairman at the 1992 World Figure Skating Championships in Oakland and the 1991 Skate America Competition also in Oakland.

I am a member of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® (SILVAR), California Association of REALTORS® (CAR) and the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR).  All of these associations uphold a strict code of ethics and ensure that its members are up to date on the latest legal and professional trends in real estate.  I have served on committees within the local board, helping to direct the future of real estate in this area and give me a keen insight as to the best methods of serving my clients.

Professional Philosophy

Referrals and repeat clients make up almost 90 percent of my business.  That says a lot about the service I provide which is first class all the way.  I am a great believer in personalized service and do everything I can, and often much more than expected, in helping my clients.  I have gone so far as to FLY to my relocating clients location with closing paperwork so they would not have to miss work to fly in just to sign off on their home purchase.  I will also help client’s co-ordinate major repairs and remodeling prior to selling their home.  I consider myself to be a trustworthy individual and have no problem trusting my clients in return.  Supremely patient, I like to educate my clients and works with them on understanding their budget concerns before we start looking at property.  I am not a high-pressure REALTOR®.  I like working with people so I don't mind spending extra time with them.   I just want to make sure they make a good decision and one that's right for them.  That is not a quick process and requires patience.
