Honors

One of the area's top producers, Ric has received the Achievement Award from the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS® twelve times, his most recent award having been this year. Ric has also received the Diamond Achievement Award and Lifetime Achievement Award from the Silicon Valley Association. He holds the CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) designation which means he has undergone a rigorous, specialized course of detailed training aimed at making residential transactions as smooth and worry-free as possible. Only 3 percent of all REALTORS® have earned this prestigious designation. In addition, Ric holds the GRI designation, signifying that he is a member of the Graduate REALTORS® Institute. Ric holds the ePro designation for his extensive knowledge in internet communications and marketing.

Personal Information

Ric has been a resident of the area for 33+ years, having moved here from Michigan. He has studied computer science and has become so proficient that he has been asked to conduct computer training classes for his peers.

Ric has been very involved in the figure skating community over the years as a local organizer of figure skating events. In 1996 he served on the Executive Board for the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in San Jose. He served as Director of Operations for this massive event and was completely responsible for security, communications and transportation. Ric also served as a Committee Chairman at the 1992 World Figure Skating Championships in Oakland and the 1991 Skate America Competition also in Oakland.

Ric is a member of the Silicon Valley Association of REALTORS®, California Association of REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®. All of these associations uphold a strict code of ethics and ensure that its members are up to date on the latest legal and professional trends in real estate. He has served on many committees within his local board, helping to direct the future of real estate in this area and giving him a keen insight as to the best methods of serving his clients.

Professional Philosophy

Referrals and repeat clients make up almost 90 percent of Ric's business. that says a lot about the service Ric provides which is first class all the way. A great believer in personalized service, Ric does everything he can, and often much more than expected, in helping his clients. He has been known to go so far as to FLY to his relocating clients location with closing paperwork so they would not have to miss work to fly in just to sign off on their home purchase. Ric has also helped clients co-ordinate major repairs and remodeling prior to selling their home. Because he is a trustworthy individual, Ric has no problem trusting his clients in return. Supremely patient, Ric likes to educate his clients and works with them on understanding their budget concerns before ever showing property. "I'm not a high-pressure REALTOR®" says Ric. "I like working with people so I don't mind spending extra time with them. I just want to make sure they make a good decision and one that's right for them. That often is not a quick process," he explains.
